It's been a while since I have done my actual measurements. I have been holding off due to Mother Nature's bloaty side, and hoping that I would get the pooch out of my tummy an inch or so before I post. But I haven't, so I took them tonight and am facing the truth- water retention and all.
You will see my stats to the right, describing all the inches and stuff that I am today.
But I want to share with those of you who are just meeting me what my stats USED to be, a mere 16 months ago.
I started dieting on January 1st of 2009, and made some remarkable progress over the last year. My real starting weight was 238, and at 5'4"- that put me at a morbidly obese BMI of 40.9 or 41 (depending on what BMI calculator you use). I am currently hanging out at a 30.4, and I'm pretty happy about that.
What was I talking about?
Oh, yeah, my old measurements. Well, here they are. I'll even throw in a picture at the end!
Waist then: 45"
Waist now: 38"
Hips then: 51.5"
Hips now: 45"
Bust then: 43" (51.5" with boobs)
Bust now: 37" (46" with boobs)
Thigh then: 27"
Thighs now: 22.5"
Upper Arms then: 16"
Upper Arms now: 14"
So I have changed dramatically. See???
I both HATE and LOVE this picture. It made me cry the first time I saw it. But now, I can't look at it enough. Because it really shows me the progress that I can make if I want it bad enough.
And finally, I am back to wanting to change bad enough. Wanting it so bad that I pass over the ice cream and junk food that has held me on a plateau for months. I want it so much that I pass over skipping the exercise and I sweat my fat body till it screams.
So, that's where I've been, and I'm excited to see where I can go. Where these 8 weeks can take me. Because I know what can happen if I work it.
I just gotta remember the Passover.
You are soo right on the passover thing ~ that's one of my biggest issues (that and snacking at night :o/ ...) The workout video you posted on OSCBB was great! Keep it up because it's going to pay off! And btw, in the "painful before" pic in the pink bikini ~ you look great! You might have hit a plateau in the past, but look how much progress you've already made!! Pure awesomeness!! Keep it up, Charlie ~ not a lot of people have the willpower you're showing to do what you're doing, and you are going to reap the benefits of it. Thanks for doing what you're doing and inspiring me to get off my big butt and get active ~ and maybe pass over on some of those midnight snacks :o) You rock ~ keep up the good work!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an accomplishment!! And as bad as we feel those before photos are they show the wonderful different of the after which even if you don't feel it in the scale and measurements, you can ignore the physical changes. Keep it up girl!!
